Megan is a dedicated advocate of justice, for both humans and animals. She works at a nonprofit supporting community college adult learners returning to school, and recently completed a Master's degree in Animal Law. During this program, she learned about the barriers DV survivors face to leaving with pets, which inspired her to start The Lassie Project.
Dr. Linda Fox

Linda is a lifetime champion for the wellbeing of women and animals. As a physician in women's healthcare, she cared for countless women, including survivors of interpersonal violence. In her retirement, she is a regular volunteer at her local animal shelter, helping dogs learn how to trust humans again.
Isabella Fleener
Board Member
Isabella is a Marriage and Family Therapist student with a deep commitment to mental health and social justice. Her passion for helping others combined with her education in trauma-informed care and her love of animals makes her a valuable asset to The Lassie Project.
Vanessa Beane
Board Secretary
Vanessa is a legal advocate, holding a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy with an emphasis in Animal Law. She is a talented legal researcher and enthusiastic about using the law to advance protections for survivors of domestic violence as well as animals.
